Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 01-165 RESOLUTION RECEIVING PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF STUDY FOR THE MARSHAN LANE UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has received a petition from residents of Marshan Lane, east of Lake Drive, requesting preparation of a study on the feasibility of extending sanitary sewer and water service to their properties, and WHEREAS, in response to this petition, it is proposed to improve Marshan Lane from Lake Drive to the east by constructing sanitary sewer and watermain improvements, and WHEREAS, the City proposes to assess the benefited property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and Chapter 8 of the Lino Lakes City Charter. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. That the proposed improvement be referred to the City Engineer for study and that he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
