Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-165 <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF STUDY <br />FOR THE MARSHAN LANE UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has received a petition from residents of Marshan <br />Lane, east of Lake Drive, requesting preparation of a study on the feasibility of <br />extending sanitary sewer and water service to their properties, and <br />WHEREAS, in response to this petition, it is proposed to improve Marshan Lane from <br />Lake Drive to the east by constructing sanitary sewer and watermain improvements, and <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to assess the benefited property for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, and Chapter 8 <br />of the Lino Lakes City Charter. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. That the proposed improvement be referred to the City Engineer for study and <br />that he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising <br />the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is <br />necessary, cost-effective, and feasible and as to whether it should best be made <br />as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated <br />cost of the improvement as recommended. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 8th dayAtQctober, 2001. <br />John J. 6rgesgpf, Mayo <br />Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted. <br />CERTIFICATION <br />I hereby certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolution duly passed, adopted and <br />approved by the City Council on October 8, 2001. <br />Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />
