Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />�-- RESOLUTION NO. 01- 194 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE CENTENNIAL FIRE DISTRICT <br />RELIEF ASSOCIATION <br />WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire District communities have <br />recognized a need for a photo identification portable <br />badge system; and <br />WHEREAS, the IdentiSys photo identification system would be used <br />to make identification badges for employees of the <br />Centennial Fire District communities; and <br />WHEREAS, this portable system is a convenient system to be <br />utilized in the field at an emergency scene, disaster <br />scene or command center; and <br />WHEREAS, special identification cards can be issued in a <br />relatively short time to individuals allowed to enter <br />restricted areas; and <br />WHEREAS, the various Centennial Fire District communities could <br />incorporate their city logo on the badges; and <br />WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire District Relief Association was <br />made aware of the desire to purchase this system and <br />has donated $8,000.00 to the City to defer the cost of <br />this system which includes a lap top computer, printer, <br />badging software, digital camera, back drop tri -pod and <br />various supplies, <br />WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in <br />the following manner: <br />Increase Revenue - Contributions <br />Increase Police - Capital Outlay <br />$8,000.00 <br />$8,000.00 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes <br />hereby accepts the donation of $8,000.00 to purchase the system <br />and wishes to express its gratitude to the Centennial Fire <br />District Relief Association for its donation. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of December, <br />2001. <br />ergeson, Joh if J er g Mayor <br />Ann Bl ')r, City Clerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Council MemberDahl and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Reinert, Dahl, Bergeson, Carlson & O'Donnell. <br />
