Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES �-- RESOLUTION NO. 01- 194 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE CENTENNIAL FIRE DISTRICT RELIEF ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire District communities have recognized a need for a photo identification portable badge system; and WHEREAS, the IdentiSys photo identification system would be used to make identification badges for employees of the Centennial Fire District communities; and WHEREAS, this portable system is a convenient system to be utilized in the field at an emergency scene, disaster scene or command center; and WHEREAS, special identification cards can be issued in a relatively short time to individuals allowed to enter restricted areas; and WHEREAS, the various Centennial Fire District communities could incorporate their city logo on the badges; and WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire District Relief Association was made aware of the desire to purchase this system and has donated $8,000.00 to the City to defer the cost of this system which includes a lap top computer, printer, badging software, digital camera, back drop tri -pod and various supplies, WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in the following manner: Increase Revenue - Contributions Increase Police - Capital Outlay $8,000.00 $8,000.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes hereby accepts the donation of $8,000.00 to purchase the system and wishes to express its gratitude to the Centennial Fire District Relief Association for its donation.
