Studenski, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: March 11, 2002 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 02-17, Receive Bids and Award Construction Contract, <br />Lake Drive/Apollo Drive Improvements <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Sealed bids were received and publicly opened at 1:00 p.m. on March 4, 2002. The <br />results of the bid opening are presented below. A copy <br />of the complete bid tabulation is attached. The cost of this project will be recovered <br />through special assessments to benefiting properties per the development agreements <br />for the Market Place and JADT developments. <br />The completion date for this project is June 30, 2002. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Return to staff for further review. <br />2. Adopt Resolution Number 02-17, accepting bids and awarding a construction <br />contract to Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. for the Lake Drive/Apollo Drive <br />Improvements project. <br />3. Not adopt Resolution No. 02-17. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No. 2 - Staff recommends adoption of Resolution Number 02-17. <br />
