CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-49 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT - 2002 BITUMINOUS WEARING COURSE IMPROVEMENTS. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2002 Wearing <br />Course project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following <br />bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />Midwest Asphalt Corp. <br />W. B. Miller, Inc. <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />Engineer's Estimate <br />Amount of Bid <br />$223,423.10 <br />$224,752.95 <br />$225,674.50 <br />$237,571.50 <br />$242,080.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Hardrives, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Hardrives, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2002 <br />Wearing Course Improvements according to the plans and specifications approved by the <br />City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 28th day of May, 2002. <br />4.44 <br />John J,Aergeson, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Ann J.
