CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-51 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE CIRCLE -LEX LADIES <br />AUXILIARY VFW POST #6583 TO PURCHASE EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT FOR THE <br />DEPARTMENT'S MOTORCYCLE <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />radio communication is an essential means of safety <br />while patrolling the city; and <br />patrolling on the motorcycle and answering radio calls <br />is somewhat limited without this equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, emergency equipment is available to allow for ear <br />pieces to be installed inside a helmet to allow for <br />hands free radio communication and a public address <br />system; and <br />WHEREAS, the Circle -Lex Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #6583 has made <br />a donation in the amount of $500.00 to the City of Lino <br />Lakes for the cost of this equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in <br />the following manner: <br />Increase Revenue - Contributions <br />Increase Expenditures -Small Tools <br />$500.00 <br />$500.00 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes <br />hereby accepts the donation of $500.00 for the cost of emergency <br />equipment and wishes to express its gratitude to the Circle -Lex <br />Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #6583 for its donation. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of June, <br />2002. <br />Join Bergeson, <br />Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />Mayor <br />
