CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-63 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />FOR A PETTING ZOO/FARM VISITS FOR <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 8140 -20TH AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, the City has received an application for a Conditional Use Permit for a <br />petting zoo/farm visits within the Rural zone, and <br />WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations provide for the <br />administration of Conditional Use Permits under Section 2, subdiv. 2, and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed petting zoo/farm visits meet the standards for a Conditional <br />Use Permit as outlined in Section 2, subdiv. 2, and <br />WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations further provide for <br />and establish requirements for a Conditional Use Permit in a Rural zone for uses similar <br />in nature to a petting zoo/farm visits, as described in Section 5, subdiv. 1.H.3, and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed petting zoo/farm visits meet the requirements for a Conditional <br />Use Permit as outlined in Section 5, subdiv.1.H.3 <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Lino Lakes City Council approves the <br />Conditional Use Permit for a petting zoo/farm visits, subject to the following conditions: <br />1. All parking must be contained on site. The driveway should be widened to 24 feet to <br />better accommodate visitor traffic. Parking surfaces should be rocked; any <br />paved/impervious parking surfaces will require submission and approval of a grading <br />plan to the City Engineer. <br />2. Any indoor assembly areas must conform to applicable fire and building codes; if <br />visitors to the site enter the barn area, with the exception of restroom facility use, the <br />entire barn must be equipped with a fire suppression system, per review of the Lino <br />Lakes Fire Chief. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this — da2002. <br />ATTEST: <br />C (e t <br />iJ <br />J.
