CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-85 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE LINO LAKES LIONS CLUB TO <br />PURCHASE EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT FOR THE DEPARTMENT'S MOTORCYCLE <br />WHEREAS, radio communication is an essential means of safety <br />while patrolling the city; and <br />WHEREAS, patrolling on the motorcycle and answering radio calls <br />is somewhat limited without this equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, emergency equipment is available to allow for ear <br />pieces to be installed inside a helmet to allow for <br />hands free radio communication and a public address <br />system; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has made a donation in the <br />amount of $750.00 to the City of Lino Lakes for the <br />cost of this equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in <br />the following manner: <br />Increase Revenue - Contributions <br />Increase Expenditures -Small Tools <br />$750.00 <br />$750.00 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes <br />hereby accepts the donation of $750.00 for the cost of emergency <br />equipment and wishes to express its gratitude to the Lino Lakes <br />Lions Club for its donation. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 12th day of August, <br />2002. <br />Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Council Member -60,141 and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />g,rwim b k c ge, sow-, C (sem r 0 `Dc��i(. <br />The following voted agiinst same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />Ber%eson, Mayor <br />
