CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-95 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COUNTY OF ANOKA'S DESIGN FOR <br />RECONSTRUCTION OF CSAH 49 <br />WHEREAS, County State Aid Highway 49, between Lake Drive (CSAH 23) and County <br />Road J, is located in the City of Lino Lakes and the County of Anoka, and <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County plans to reconstruct the CSAH 49 bridge over Rice Creek, <br />and the intersection of CSAH 10 (Birch Street) and CSAH 49, and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City and the County to reconstruct CSAH 49 <br />from Lake Drive to County Road J at the same time the bridge and intersection are <br />reconstructed, and <br />WHEREAS, the City and County have discussed design issues for reconstruction of <br />CSAH 49 for two years, and <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County has proposed to construct the project in accordance with the <br />following: <br />a. Removal of the shoulder to narrow the overall street width; <br />b. Reduction in the Right-of-way width to 100 feet; <br />c. Removal of the median south of Birch Street in conjunction with a reduced <br />speed limit (45 mph) through implementation of landscaping and <br />streetscaping; and <br />WHEREAS, the design will include context sensitive design elements that contribute to <br />lower speed limits <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The City of Lino Lakes accepts Anoka County's design for reconstructing CSAH <br />49. <br />2. The City of Lino Lakes is prepared to participate financially in providing context <br />sensitive design elements of the reconstructed roadway. <br />
