SOLAR ACCESS <br />In order to protect access to direct sunlight for solar energy <br />systems, the City will add to its official controls a requirement to <br />consider solar access in development reviews. For example, this <br />could be a requirement for a shadow analysis for tall structures. <br />This would be of particular importance in commercial and industrial <br />zoning districts. <br />• page 29, Transportation Plan: update bus route numbers and other information <br />The following text will replace text on page 29 of the Transportation Plan: <br />V. TRANSIT AND TRAVEL DEMAND MANAGEMENT <br />TRANSIT <br />Lino Lakes is currently served by four transit service providers (see Figure <br />12 for existing transit routes): <br />• Metrepelitan-Ce ncil Transit Operations (MCTO) operates the <br />• Metro Transit -- operates Route 260, AM & PM peak express service <br />to Minneapolis <br />• North Suburban Lines sere Lino Lakes with the Hodgson <br />• North Suburban Lines -- Route 262, AM & PM peak local/limited <br />stop service to St. Paul via Hodgson Road and Rice Street; and Route <br />275, AM & PM peak express service to St. Paul via I-35. <br />• Anoka County Traveler -- a demand -responsive service operating to <br />any point within Anoka County <br />• Metro Mobility -- a demand responsive service for persons who have <br />a mobility impairment. <br />additional updates to Transit text will be investigated in the future <br />
