AGENDA ITEM 7J
STAFF ORIGINATOR: James E. Studenski, City Engineer
COUNCIL MEETING DATE: September 23, 2002
TOPIC: Resolution No. 02-130, Accepting Feasibility Report and Calling for
a Public Hearing, 62nd Street Reconstruction.
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority
BACKGROUND:
Due to the continued development and growth of the area increasing the traffic
on this roadway and the deteriorating condition of 62nd Street between Ware
Road and Red Maple Lane, the City Council order a feasibility study for the
reconstruction of the street. This segment of roadway is designated as a
Municipal State Aid Street and serves as a minor collector within the City's
Comprehensive Transportation Plan. The street reconstruction portion of the project
will be funded mostly through Municipal State Aid.
The study will be delivered to the City Council at the meeting Monday evening.
The next step in the process will be to accept the feasibility study and hold a
Public Hearing on the proposed improvements.
OPTIONS:
1.
