CITY OF LINO LAKES NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INDIVIDUAL PROPERTIES WHICH REQUESTED CONNECTION TO CITY UTILITIES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota will hold a public hearing on proposed special assessments for individual properties which requested connection to City utilities. Such hearing will be held at the City Hall, 600 Town Center Parkway, Lino Lakes, Minnesota, on Monday, October 28, 2002, 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be reached on the agenda. Adoption of the proposed assessment may be done at the hearing. The properties affected include the following: 274 Apollo Drive 7582 4th Avenue 718 Main Street 7997 Lake Drive $60,911.86 $37,936.01 $ 9,109.54 $36,857.66 The improvements include sanitary sewer, water, and drainage. The total amount of the proposed assessment is $83,903.21. The proposed assessment roll showing the amount to be assessed against each parcel is on file with the City Clerk and is open to public inspection during normal business hours of the City Clerk. At the hearing, written or oral objections to the proposed assessments by any property owner will be considered. No appeal may be taken as to the amount of any assessment adopted after the hearing unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with the City Clerk prior to the assessment hearing or is presented to the Mayor at the hearing. An owner may appeal an assessment to District Court pursuant to Minnesota Statute 429.081 by serving notice upon the Mayor or Clerk of the City within 30 days after the adoption of the assessment and by filing such notice with the District Court of Anoka County within ten (10) days after service of the notice of appeal upon the Mayor or Clerk. City Ordinance No. 07-90 provides for deferment of special assessments for those 65 years of age or older that also meet certain income and asset limitations.
