CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENT <br />INDIVIDUAL PROPERTIES WHICH REQUESTED CONNECTION TO CITY <br />UTILITIES <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota will hold a public hearing on proposed special assessments for <br />individual properties which requested connection to City utilities. Such hearing <br />will be held at the City Hall, 600 Town Center Parkway, Lino Lakes, Minnesota, <br />on Monday, October 28, 2002, 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can <br />be reached on the agenda. Adoption of the proposed assessment may be done <br />at the hearing. The properties affected include the following: <br />274 Apollo Drive <br />7582 4th Avenue <br />718 Main Street <br />7997 Lake Drive <br />$60,911.86 <br />$37,936.01 <br />$ 9,109.54 <br />$36,857.66 <br />The improvements include sanitary sewer, water, and drainage. <br />The total amount of the proposed assessment is $83,903.21. The proposed <br />assessment roll showing the amount to be assessed against each parcel is on <br />file with the City Clerk and is open to public inspection during normal business <br />hours of the City Clerk. <br />At the hearing, written or oral objections to the proposed assessments by any <br />property owner will be considered. No appeal may be taken as to the amount of <br />any assessment adopted after the hearing unless a written objection signed by <br />the affected property owner is filed with the City Clerk prior to the assessment <br />hearing or is presented to the Mayor at the hearing. An owner may appeal an <br />assessment to District Court pursuant to Minnesota Statute 429.081 by serving <br />notice upon the Mayor or Clerk of the City within 30 days after the adoption of <br />the assessment and by filing such notice with the District Court of Anoka County <br />within ten (10) days after service of the notice of appeal upon the Mayor or Clerk. <br />City Ordinance No. 07-90 provides for deferment of special assessments for <br />those 65 years of age or older that also meet certain income and asset <br />limitations. <br />BY ORDER OF THE LINO LAKES COUNCIL THIS 23rd DAY OF SEPTEMBER, <br />2002. <br />Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />Published in the Quad Community Press October 1, 2002, and October 8, 2002. <br />
