Studenski, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: October 28, 2002 <br />TOPIC: Public Hearing, Adopt Proposed Assessments: Lake Drive/Apollo <br />Drive; Clearwater Creek 51h Addition; Royal Pines; Raske Building <br />Systems; Individual Properties Which Requested Connection to <br />City Utilities <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On September 23, 2002 the City Council set the Public hearings for the <br />proposed assessments on these projects for October 28, 2002. All necessary <br />notices have been mailed to affected property owners indicating the amount of <br />the assessment and the date of the hearing. <br />The projects involved are either subdivisions where we have development <br />agreements describing the assessments or individual properties where they have <br />specifically petitioned and agreed to the assessments. A brief overview for each <br />project will be provided then respond to any questions. <br />It is anticipated that all questions or comments will be responded to and the <br />Public Hearings will be closed. Upon closing the Public Hearing, we are <br />prepared to adopt the assessments. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Close Public Hearing and Adopt the proposed assessments. <br />2. Refer to staff for further review. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends Option No. 1. <br />
