Council Member adoption. introduced the following resolution and moved its CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO 02-166 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS FROM THE CIRCLE PINES LEXINGTON LIONS, LINO LAKES STATE BANK, LINO LAKES LIONS CLUB, AND THE FOREST LAKE AREA ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE LINO LAKES PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT'S ANNUAL FAMILY TURKEY SHOOT WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department is holding this annual holiday event on Saturday, November 16, 2002; and WHEREAS, The event is a free holiday event for the families of Lino Lakes; and WHEREAS, Participant teams, consisting of one child (ages 4-14) and one adult, will compete in a variety of low-key athletic events for prizes; and WHEREAS, The following organizations were made aware of the desire of the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department to conduct the Family Turkey Shoot with the support of program sponsors and have donated the following amounts to the City to defer the costs of this event: Circle Pines Lexington Lions $330 Lino Lakes State Bank $300 Lino Lakes Lions Club $300 Forest Lake Area Athletic Association $100 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes hereby accepts the donations to help fund the Family Turkey Shoot event and wishes to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to these organizations for their donations.
