Council Member -V_____ introduced the following <br />resolution and moved it's adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION 2000-28 <br />RESOLUTION RE -DESIGNATING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />FUNDING FOR THE CITY OF LINO LAKES FOR FUNDING YEAR 2000-2001. <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes is anticipating receiving Community Development <br />Block Grant Funds for funding year 2000-2001 in the amount of <br />$33,492.00 ($34,492.00 less $1,000.00 for County administration <br />costs), and <br />WHEREAS, The City Council supports the Housing Rehabilitation program through the <br />Anoka County Community Action Program, and <br />WHEREAS, The City Council supports Alexandra House and its cause of assisting <br />families with intervention, prevention and community advocacy services, <br />and <br />— WHEREAS, The City Council supports the Forest Lake Youth Service Bureau and <br />its goal of providing service to the communities youth, and <br />WHEREAS, The City Council supports the preparation of a Septic System Ordinance <br />that will promote health and safety through regulation of individual sewage <br />treatment systems. <br />WHEREAS, The City Council supports the preparation of an environmental study which <br />will address a Native Landscape Management Program. This plan will <br />incorporate specific action steps for existing and future restoration areas. <br />This plan will become a part of the Environmental Management Plan and <br />ultimately included as part to the city Comprehensive Plan <br />WHEREAS, The City Council supports the Preservation Development Program to <br />preserve open space and make for more environmentally benign <br />development. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br />_ 1. That the Lino Lakes City Council hereby requests that $13,319.00 of its 2000-2001 <br />C.D.B.G funds be designated for Housing Rehabilitation through the Anoka County <br />Community Action . <br />
