Council member (-.=% t\-) introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-48 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING & ENCOURAGING THE ANOKA <br />COUNTY COMMISSION TO RECORD OR TELEVISE THE <br />ANOKA COUNTY COMISSION MEETINGS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes is one of seven Anoka County cities that are <br />members of the North Metro Telecommunications Commission, and <br />WHEREAS, the members of the North Metro Telecommunications Commission actively <br />use cable television technology to keep our constituents informed of the workings of local <br />government, and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Anoka is a critical component of local government serving <br />the citizens of the City of Lino Lakes, and <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of our city will benefit from the availability of televised <br />meetings of the Anoka County Commission, and <br />WHEREAS, technical staff of the North Metro Telecommunications Commission Media <br />Center can be available to assist Anoka County in making televised meetings of the County <br />Commission a reality, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that <br />the Anoka County Commission is hereby requested and encouraged to work with the staff of the <br />North Metro Telecommunications Commission Media Center to record or televise the meetings <br />of the Anoka County Commissioners such that Anoka County Commission meetings may be <br />televised for our citizens. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 8th day of May, 2000. <br />Joh Berg son, Mayor <br />_a_,th'eitz)ta( <br />Ry-Chel Gaustad, CMC City Clerk <br />1.44 motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />( /LS(J and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: j"L4.. <br />The following voted against: A501\ -E <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
