Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-52 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT — 2000 <br />WEARING COURSE AND TRAIL PAVING IMPROVEMENTS. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2000 Wearing <br />Course and Trail Paving project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, <br />and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />DMJ Corporation <br />W.B. Miller, Inc. <br />Midwest Asphalt Corp. <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />Barber Construction Co, Inc. <br />Frattalone Paving, Inc. <br />Engineer's Estimate <br />Amount of Bid <br />$121,099.25 <br />$124,876.42 <br />$125,772.75 <br />$131,590.25 <br />$132,087.35 <br />$132,608.75 <br />$138,023.50 <br />$149,640.25 <br />$160,918.50 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that North Valley, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with North <br />Valley, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2000 Wearing <br />Course and Trail Paving Improvements according to the plans and specifications approved <br />by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2.
