Council Member K01qintroduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-60 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO PERMIT THE LINO <br />LAKES LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL TO CONDUCT GAMBLING AT THE <br />AMERICAN LEGION POST 566, 7731 LAKE DRIVE — LINO LAKES <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes Council met at its regularly scheduled <br />meeting of May 22, 2000, and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes City Council discussed Lawful Gambling, and <br />WHEREAS, the site is described as 7731 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes; and <br />WHEREAS, it is owned and operated by the American Legion Post 566; and <br />WHEREAS, authorization is granted to the Lino Lakes Lion's Club International to <br />conduct lawful gambling on the above-mentioned premises, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has conducted an investigation of the American <br />Legion management team of Post 566; and <br />WHEREAS, the American Legion Post 566 and Lino Lakes Lions Club International <br />are compliant with City Ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, the American Legion Post 566 and the Lino Lakes Lions Club <br />International appears to take into consideration the best <br />interest of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES approves the charitable gambling activity at by the Lino <br />Lakes Lions Club International at the American Legion, 7731 Lake Drive, Lino <br />Lakes. <br />Approved by the Lino Lakes City Council on the 22nd day of May 2000. <br />John .
