Council Member Reinert <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-64 <br />RESOLUTION NOT TO ADOPT THE ASSESSMENT FOR THE TWILIGHT ACRES 1ST AND 2ND <br />ADDITION PROJECTS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the City Council met and heard <br />and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of Twilight Acres 1st <br />and 2nd Additions, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Twilight Acres 1st and <br />2nd Additions project, bids were received, and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has also received an opinion from Taylor Appraisal Company regarding the <br />benefit to the properties within the project area, and <br />WHEREAS, the improvement costs cannot be recovered through the estimated assessments to the <br />benefiting properties, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. The assessment for this project as proposed is not adopted. <br />2. The bids for this project are hereby rejected. <br />3. The City Engineer is directed to notify the contractors of the City's decision and return their bid <br />bonds. <br />4. City staff is directed to initiate a new project to provide sanitary sewer service only. <br />5.
