AGENDA ITEM 7J <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Powell, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: August 28, 2000 <br />TOPIC: PUBLIC HEARING, Main Street Trunk Utilities <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote required to close the hearing <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This feasibility report was prepared in response to a petition from the Bluebill <br />Ponds subdivision. The Main Street Trunk Utilities project involves the extension <br />of trunk sanitary sewer and watermain along Main Street from just west of Nancy <br />Drive to Wood Duck Trail to serve Bluebill Ponds. On July 24, 2000, the City <br />Council received the feasibility report for this project and set a date for a Public <br />Hearing. The only change to the feasibility report is the schedule that has been <br />revised to reflect Spring, 2001 construction. A copy of the revised schedule is <br />attached. I will present the information contained in the feasibility report at the <br />Public Hearing. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Close the public hearing. <br />2. Continue the public hearing. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No. 1 - Staff recommends dosing the public hearing. <br />
