Council Member Reinert introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-114 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT — MAIN STREET <br />TRUNK UTILITIES IMPROVEMENTS. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Main Street Trunk Utilities <br />project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received <br />complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />S. Weidema, Inc. $514,868.29 <br />Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. $528,160.75 <br />Volk Sewer and Water, Inc. $531,362.99 <br />Lametti and Sons, Inc. $569,198.60 <br />Engineer's Estimate $461,929.50 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that S. J. Louis Construction, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with S. J. Louis <br />Construction, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the Main Street Trunk <br />Utilities Improvements according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on <br />file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2.
