Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-121 <br />RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING ANOKA COUNTY AND THE CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />TO WORK COOPERATIVELY WITH RAMSEY COUNTY AND THE CITY OF <br />SHOREVIEW ON THE RECONSTRUCTION OF HODGSON ROAD <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County and the City of Lino Lakes are discussing the <br />potential reconstruction of Hodgson Road between Lake Drive and County Road J, and <br />the future reconstruction of Lake Drive from Hodgson Road through the I -35W <br />interchange; and <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County and the City of Shoreview are discussing the <br />potential reconstruction of other segments of CSAH 49; and <br />WHEREAS, residents from Lino Lakes and Shoreview have expressed concern <br />about the impact of the proposed reconstruction of this roadway segment; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes does not approve of the design options <br />presented to date and wants to develop additional safe design options, and <br />WHEREAS, it is important for both Anoka County and Ramsey County to work in <br />cooperation with each of the cities to insure a design that meets the objectives and <br />goals of the communities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Ramsey County and the City of Shoreview are hereby encouraged to meet and to <br />work cooperatively with Anoka County and the City of Lino Lakes on the design and <br />potential reconstruction of CSAH 49 between Lake Drive and County Road J. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 27th day of November, 2000. <br />JohryJ.
