Councilmember 0' Donnell introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 00-122 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FINAL 2000 TAX LEVY, COLLECTIBLE IN 2001. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes is in need of certain funds to pay expenditures for General Fund <br />operating costs anticipated in the year 2001; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes is in need of certain funds to pay the annual debt service on <br />outstanding indebtedness; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted its preliminary 2000 tax levy, collectible in 2001, in <br />anticipation of the above expenses; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has published in the official newspaper all notices required by <br />Minnesota statutes and the City Charter; and, <br />WHEREA, the City Council held a Truth in Taxation public hearing on December 4, 2000, and <br />continued such public hearing on December 11, 2000 in compliance with Minnesota <br />statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota, approves its final 2000 tax levy, collectible in 2001, upon taxable property within the City of <br />Lino Lakes as follows: <br />1. Total amount levied in the year 2000 to be spread for taxes due and payable in the year <br />2001, net of HACA, is $4, <br />2. The total amount above levied, net of HACA, is for the following purposes: <br />GENERAL OPERATING $4,105,048 <br />GENERAL BONDED DEBT <br />Public Project Revenue Bonds 88,131 <br />Civic Complex Bond 1998A 220,238 <br />G.O. Improvement Bond 1998B 102,885 <br />Equipment Certificates 1998 67,719 <br />Equipment Certificates 1999 80,217 <br />Equipment Certificates 2000 102,002 <br />Total General Bonded Debt $ 661,192 <br />TOTAL LEVIES $4.766,240 <br />BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED that the general fund operating budget and special levies for Equipment <br />Certificates, Public Project Revenue Bonds, Civic Center Bonds and G.O. Improvement Bonds as reviewed <br />by the City Council represents the basis for this levy. Individual department budgets are subject to <br />preliminary approval by the City Council and shall be authorized by a separate action. <br />
