Tablets are currently on a 2 -year replacement schedule and were last replaced <br />in January of 2014. The two options researched by staff include the iPad Pro and the <br />Microsoft Surface Pro 4. In the event, a Microsoft Surface Pro was purchased for a <br />member of staff, the Surface Pro would replace the staff members tablet and the desktop <br />solution currently being utilized. The funding source for this purchase would be the <br />City's Office Equipment Revolving Fund. <br />iPad <br />32 GB iPad Pro - $799 <br />Operating System: iOS 9 <br />Display: 12.9 -inch <br />Smart Keyboard - $169 <br />Total Cost Per Unit - $968 <br />Microsoft Surface Pro <br />256GB Microsoft Surface Pro 4 i5 8GB RAM - $1,208 <br />Operating System: Windows 10 Pro <br />Display: 12.3inch <br />Surface Pro Type Cover - $96 <br />Surface Dock - $148 <br />Total Cost Per Unit - $1,452 <br />Requested Council Action <br />For discussion purposes. <br />
