CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 2A(iv) <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Sarah Cotton <br />MEETING DATE: December 14, 2015 <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 15-144, Adopting the 2016 Recreation <br />Fund Budget <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council has reviewed the proposed 2016 Recreation Fund Operating Budget during their <br />budget work sessions. The budget being presented for approval has not changed since the work <br />session held December 7th. The Recreation Fund is a special revenue fund and operates from <br />revenues collected from recreation fees. No part of the tax levy is used to finance Recreation Fund <br />operations. A transfer to the General Fund is budgeted to offset fixed costs. The budget for 2016 <br />estimates that a small surplus will be realized in this fund. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the approval of Resolution No. 15-144. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 15-144, Adopting the 2016 Recreation Fund Budget <br />
