COUNCIL MINUTES December 14, 2015 <br />DRAFT <br />220 - Fire Services in Lino Lakes — This morning at 7:00 a.m. the fire pagers for fire trained staff in <br />221 the city were authorized. The transition plan provides that staff will be responding to training <br />222 exercises this week, will be responding to locations next week, and the following will be <br />223 responding fully to emergencies. <br />224 - Training sessions are occuring at the new station, including SCBA and turn -out gear use; <br />225 - Personnel — there are 32 fully trained firefighters and seven additional individuals taking the <br />226 final exam in a week; there are additional individuals in the hiring process; <br />227 - Transition Plan — as noted, the transition plan to Lino Lakes Fire is underway to move to <br />228 providing full services; <br />229 - Staff is participating in a holiday drive in the next week. <br />230 <br />231 PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />232 <br />233 There was no report from the Public Services Department. <br />234 <br />235 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />236 <br />237 6A) Consider Resolution No. 15-150, Approving the Joint Powers Agreement with Anoka <br />238 County for the Roundabout Construction Project at the Intersection of County State Aid <br />239 Highway 12 (109th Av NE/Apollo Drive) and County Road 53 (Sunset Av) — City Engineer <br />240 Hankee explained some terms of the agreement, including the city's cost and how that will be funded <br />241 within the budget. The project is cooperative with Anoka County and also the City of Blaine. The <br />242 residents are receiving communications about the project, including more than one open house and <br />243 information on the construction schedule. <br />244 <br />245 Council Member Kusterman moved to approve Resolution No. 15-150 as presented. Council <br />246 Member Roeser seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />247 <br />248 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />249 <br />250 There was no Unfinished Business. <br />251 <br />252 NEW BUSINESS <br />253 <br />254 There was no New Business. <br />255 <br />256 COMMUNITY EVENTS <br />257 <br />258 MONTHLY RECYCLE DAY will be held at Lino Park (7850 Lake Drive) on Saturday, December 19 <br />259 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. See city website for a list of accepted items. <br />260 <br />261 TOYS FOR JOY/CHRISTMAS COMMITTEE DROP OFF locations are located at Lino Lakes City <br />262 Hall and Police Department. Collection of toys and food for the upcoming holiday will serve folks <br />263 right here in our community.
