Employment projections decrease by 2,000. <br /> <br />Housing Policy Plan <br /> <br />Communities are required to include a housing element and implementation program in their <br />comprehensive plan updates that address existing and projected housing needs. Housing needs <br />include affordable housing. The Housing Policy Plan defines affordable housing as housing that <br />is affordable to low-and-moderate income families. For 2015, the affordability limit is 80% of <br />the area median income (AMI) for both rental and ownership housing. In 2015, the area median <br />income for a household of four is $86,600. Under these limits, a family of four can earn up to <br />$65,800 to qualify for affordable housing. <br /> <br />Per the System Statement, Lino Lakes’ share of the region’s need for low and moderate income <br />housing for the decade of 2021-2030 is 515 new units affordable to households earning 80% of <br />area median income (AMI) or below. In comparison, the Met Council’s goal for 2011-2020 was <br />560 units. <br />
