COUNCIL MINUTES March 23, 2015 <br />APPROVED <br />1 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />2 MINUTES <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 DATE : March 23, 2015 <br />6 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. <br />7 TIME ENDED : 7:25 p.m. <br />8 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Stoesz, Kusterman, Rafferty, <br />9 Roeser, and Mayor Reinert <br />10 MEMBERS ABSENT : none <br />11 <br />12 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director Michael <br />13 Grochala; Chief of Police John Swenson; Brian Bourassa of WSB (representing the city engineer), <br />14 Finance Director Al Rolek; and City Clerk Julie Bartell <br />15 <br />16 PUBLIC COMMENT <br />17 <br />18 Jamie Rooney, 7966 Highland Drive, announced the Chain of Lakes Rotary Club's 4th Annual <br />19 Chain of Giving Event at St. Joseph's on April 18. She also noted that the Rotary Club would like <br />20 the community to become a Yellow Ribbon Community; they'd like the council to begin that process. <br />21 It is a support program for military families. Mayor Reinert remarked that he has learned about the <br />22 Yellow Ribbon Community program from the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department and he doesn't <br />23 see why the council wouldn't support becoming a part. The city will find out about the steps needed <br />24 and the council will consider a resolution if necessary. <br />25 <br />26 SETTING THE AGENDA <br />27 <br />28 The agenda was approved as presented. <br />29 <br />30 CONSENT AGENDA <br />31 <br />32 Council Member Stoesz asked about an item on the Fire Expenditures list for the payment of costs for <br />33 marketing (website). Administrator Karlson explained that it is an annual expenditure paid through <br />34 grant funds. <br />35 <br />36 Council Member Stoesz moved to approve Consent Agenda Items 1A, 1D and 1E. Council Member <br />37 Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. <br />38 <br />39 Council Member Rafferty moved to approve Consent Agenda Items 1B and 1C as presented. <br />40 Council Member Kusterman seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote; Council Member <br />41 Stoesz abstained. <br />42 <br />43 ITEM ACTION <br />44 <br />45 Consideration of Expenditures: <br />1 <br />
