Council Member Bohjanen introduced the following <br />resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74 — 91 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LINO LAKES TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH THE METROPOLITAN WASTE CONTROL COMMISSION <br />(MWCC) TO HAVE MWCC PAY THE CITY OF LINO LAKES FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF A LOCAL TRUNK SEWER THAT WILL PHASE-OUT MWCC <br />LIFT STATION L-9 (TOTEM TRAIL AND BIRCH STREET) <br />WHEREAS: The City of Lino Lakes has requested MWCC to <br />provide funds in the amount of $100,557.12 <br />(construction costs) plus an estimated $30,000 <br />for rights-of-way, administration, legal and <br />engineering costs for the construction of a <br />gravity sewer that eliminates the need for <br />MWCC Lift Station L-9, and <br />WHEREAS: On July 16, 1991 the MWCC authorized its Chair <br />and Chief Administrator to enter into an agreement <br />with the City of Lino Lakes to fund construction <br />of the facilities that will eliminate MWCC Lift <br />Station L-9 in the estimated amount of <br />$145,557.12, and <br />WHEREAS: Arcon Construction has agreed in writing to allow <br />the City of Lino Lakes to hold their bid on <br />Division III until August 15, 1991 to allow MWCC <br />to consider participating in the project, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City <br />of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to <br />enter into an agreement with the MWCC to fund <br />construction of facilities that will eliminate MWCC Lift <br />Station L-9 in the estimated amount of $145,557.12. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 12th day of <br />August, 1991. <br />Harold L.
