Council Member Kuether introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92 - 30 <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE NORTH METRO MAYORS ASSOCIATION'S <br />RESOLUTION OPPOSING PROPOSED LEGISLATION THAT LIMITS ABILITY OF THE <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL OR METROPOLITAN WASTE CONTROL COMMISSION TO <br />BORROW FUNDS FOR SEWER INTERCEPTOR EXTENSION <br />WHEREAS: the City of Lino Lakes is a member of the North Metro <br />Mayors Association, and <br />WHEREAS: the North Metro Mayors Association has adopted a <br />resolution opposing H.F. #1778 and S.F. #1656, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA, <br />that the City of Lino Lakes supports the resolution adopted by <br />the North Metro Mayors Association, and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, <br />that the City of Lino Lakes requests that all legislators <br />representing the Lino Lakes area seek rather to deal with the <br />problems the bill attempts to address in a straight forward manner <br />as identified herein and defeat H.F. #1778 and S.F. #1656. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 9th day of <br />March, 1992. <br />Vernon F. Anderson, Clerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Council Member Elliott and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Neal, Kuether, <br />Reinert, Elliott. <br />The following voted against same: None. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
