Council Member Elliott introduced the following <br />resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92 - 65 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR CONTROLS AND TELEMETRY SYSTEM <br />FOR THE LINO LAKES WATER SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS: pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the <br />Controls and Telementry System for the Lino Lakes <br />Water System, bids were received, opened and <br />tabulated according to law, and the following bids <br />were received complying with the advertisement: <br />NAME & ADDRESS AMOUNT OF BID <br />Edison Controls, Inc. $19,809.00 Base <br />The Prest Company $24,163.00 Base <br />Bentec Engineering Corporation $27,614.00 Base <br />Adaptive Control Technology, Inc. $33,000.00 Base <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that The Prest Company is the <br />lowest responsible bidder capable of providing all new <br />control equipment and responsive to the request for bids, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into the attached contract with The <br />Prest Company for the installation of Controls and <br />Telemetry System for the Lino Lakes Water System <br />according to plans and specifications therefor approved <br />by the City Council and on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk in the amount of $24,163.00 base and <br />$5,832.00 total alternate bids. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with <br />their bids, except that the deposits of the successful <br />bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained <br />until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 11th day of May, <br />1992. <br />
