Council Member Elliott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 92 - 65 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR CONTROLS AND TELEMETRY SYSTEM FOR THE LINO LAKES WATER SYSTEM WHEREAS: pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Controls and Telementry System for the Lino Lakes Water System, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: NAME & ADDRESS AMOUNT OF BID Edison Controls, Inc. $19,809.00 Base The Prest Company $24,163.00 Base Bentec Engineering Corporation $27,614.00 Base Adaptive Control Technology, Inc. $33,000.00 Base AND WHEREAS, it appears that The Prest Company is the lowest responsible bidder capable of providing all new control equipment and responsive to the request for bids, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with The Prest Company for the installation of Controls and Telemetry System for the Lino Lakes Water System according to plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of $24,163.00 base and $5,832.00 total alternate bids. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 11th day of May, 1992.
