Council Member Kuether introduced the following <br />resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92 - 87 <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR THE BIRCH STREET UNDERPASS <br />IMPROVEMENT <br />WHEREAS: pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Birch <br />Street Underpass improvement, bids were received, <br />opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the <br />advertisement: <br />NAME & ADDRESS AMOUNT OF BID <br />Landwehr Heavy Moving <br />846 South Third Street <br />P.O. Box 1086 <br />St. Cloud, Minnesota 56302 <br />RO-SO Contracting, Inc. <br />7137 - 20th Avenue <br />Centerville, Minnesota 55038 <br />$156,688.05 <br />$155,510.50 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that all bidders exceeded the <br />Engineer's estimate ($87,800.00) by a very large amount, and <br />WHEREAS, all bids far exceed the available funding, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. All bids are hereby rejected. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with <br />their bids. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th day of July, <br />1992. <br />Vernon F.
