Council Member Elliott introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16 - 93 <br />RESOLUTION OPPOSING DETACHMENT OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM LINO LAKES <br />AND ANNEXATION BY THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />WHEREAS: a certain petition has been filed with the Minnesota <br />Municipal Board requesting detachment of certain property <br />from the City of Lino Lakes and annexation of the same <br />property to the City of Centerville; (see attached map <br />for location), and <br />WHEREAS: this property is zoned Light Industrial (LI) and a <br />portion of the property is located within the MUSA <br />boundary, and <br />WHEREAS: the property was included in the 1991 Interchange Study, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA: <br />that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes hereby <br />declares its opposition to the proposed detachment of certain <br />property from the City of Lino Lakes and annexation by the <br />City of Centerville. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 12th day <br />of April, 1993. <br />Vernon F. Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer <br />The motion for the adoption of the resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member Bergeson and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson, Elliott, Neal, <br />Reinert. <br />The following voted against same: None, Council Member Kuether was <br />absent. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted. <br />
