Council Member Neal <br />moved its adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94 — 03 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE CIRCLE—LEX VFW POST #6583 <br />FOR THE 1993 DARE (DRUG ABUSE RESISTANCE EDUCATION) PROGRAM AND FOR <br />A BALLISTICS VEST FOR CHIEF PECCHIA <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department continued <br />participation in the DARE Program during 1993 with Anoka <br />County, and <br />WHEREAS, participation in the DARE Program is considered a vital <br />element in the Lino Lakes Police Departments community <br />policing program, and <br />WHEREAS, the 1993 DARE Program was funded through the City of Lino <br />Lakes General Fund, <br />WHEREAS, the Circle -Lex VFW Post #6583 has donated $1,200.00 to <br />reimburse the General Fund for the cost of the DARE <br />Program, and <br />WHEREAS, the Circle -Lex VFW Post #6583 has donated $540.00 for the <br />purchase of a ballistics vest for Chief Pecchia, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes hereby <br />accepts the donation of $1,200.00 for the 1993 DARE Program and <br />$540.00 for a ballistics vest for Chief Pecchia and wishes to <br />express its gratitude to the Circle -Lex VFW for its donation. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 14th day of February, <br />1994. <br />Vernon F. Anderson, Clerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Council Member Elliott and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson, Elliott, <br />Kuether, Neal, Reinert. <br />The following voted against same: none. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
