CITY OF LINO LAKES
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MINUTES
DATE: December 3, 2015
MEMBERS
PRESENT: Nathan Vojtech, Lou Masonick, Thomas Colgan, Rebecca Glewwe,
Julie Schwartz, Don Johnson, Chad Wagner
MEMBERS
ABSENT: Tami Wier
OTHERS PRESENT: Michael Grochala, Keith Dahl, Christine Heim, Gary Eagles
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Rebecca Glewwe to approve the minutes of November 5, 2015. The motion
was seconded by Julie Schwartz and passed unanimously.
NORTH OAKS CONCEPT PUD (Planned Unit Development)
Mr. Grochala, Director, introduced Christine Heim and Gary Eagles to present the concept plans
from the North Oaks Company. The proposed master planned residential community is a PUD
located south of County Road J/Ash Street, west of CSAH 21/Centerville Road and north of
Wilkinson Lake Boulevard. It contains 2 parcels totaling approximately 46 gross acres
consisting of 27 single family homes, 17 (34 Units) twin homes and a 75 -100 senior rental
housing totaling 136-161 units with no commercial component.
Christine and Gary explained their views with the issue of incorporating a commercial
component to the North Oaks Concept PUD Plan.
The committee discussed the opportunities and the issues with the commercial component.
Committee conversations with Christine and Gary lead to the conclusion that a commercial
component would not be a viable option in the short term.
Additionally, committee members discussed questions about traffic studies, intersections, access
issues, and density requirements for the North Oaks Concept PUD Plans.
