Dahl, Community Development Intern <br />EDAC MEETING DATE: January 7, 2016 <br />REQUEST: Discuss the Comprehensive <br />Business Inventory List <br />BACKGROUND <br />Kirsten Barsness presented to the EDAC an overview for a proposed Business Retention and <br />Expansion (BRE) program on June 11, 2015. In the proposal, she outlined three steps to establish <br />a successful program: <br />• Step 1 — Inventory and Analysis <br />• Step 2 — Identification and Program Establishment <br />• Step 3 — Implementation <br />Currently, the scope of work has been researching and inventorying local businesses. Staff has <br />compiled local businesses information, from the parameters established with the programs <br />framework, for EDAC's evaluation and discussion. <br />EDAC CONSIDERATION <br />Staff is requesting input from the Economic Development Advisory Committee on the following: <br />1. How should we approach refining the comprehensive business inventory? <br />2.
