Council Member Elliott introduced the following resolu ion and <br />moved it adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95 — 01 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE CENTENNIAL FIRE RELIEF <br />ASSOCIATION AND AMENDING THE 1994 GENERAL FUND BUDGET <br />WHEREAS: the Lino Lakes Police Department began teaching the <br />D.A.R.E. program in local elementary schools in January, <br />1995; and <br />WHEREAS: the curriculum, developed by educators, is an elementary <br />school drug prevention curriculum taught by specially <br />selected and trained uniformed police officers; and <br />WHEREAS: the Centennial Fire Relief Association was made aware of <br />the desire for the Lino Lakes Police Department to teach <br />this program in the elementary schools and has donated <br />$2,000.00 to the City to defer the cost of this program, <br />and <br />WHEREAS: the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in <br />the following manner: <br />Increase Revenue - Contributions <br />Increase Expenditures: <br />Police Office Supplies <br />Sales Tax <br />$1,908.51 <br />$ 91.49 <br />$2,000.00 <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Lino Lakes hereby accepts the donation of $2,000.00 to help fund <br />the D.A.R.E. program and wishes to express its sincere gratitude <br />and appreciation to the Centennial Fire Relief Association for its <br />donation. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Co . i is 9th day of January, <br />1995. <br />Vernon F. Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Council Member Neal and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson, Elliott, <br />Kuether, Neal, Reinert. <br />The following voted against same: None. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
