Council Member Kuether <br />moved its adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 124 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED, ORDERING PREPARATION OF <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL, AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR UNPAID SEWER AND <br />WATER UTILITY BILLS <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City of Lino Lakes has established a quarterly <br />billing for sewer and water service for residential and <br />commercial users, and <br />certain residential and commercial users have not paid <br />their quarterly billing in a timely manner, and <br />the City Code provides for the assessment of all <br />delinquent sewer and water billings, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO LAKES, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. The City Clerk is directed to prepare an assessment roll <br />containing the names, address and delinquent amounts of sewer <br />and water utility bills together with a $30.00 administration <br />charge. <br />2. A hearing shall be held on October 11, 1995 in the city hall, <br />1189 Main Street, Lino Lakes, Minnesota, at 6:45 P.M. or as <br />soon as practicable to pass upon such proposed assessment and <br />at such time and place all persons owning property affected by <br />such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with <br />reference to such assessment. <br />3. The City Clerk is directed to cause a notice of the hearing on <br />the proposed assessment to be published once in the official <br />newspaper. She shall also cause mailed notice to be given to <br />the owners of each parcel described in the assessment roll. <br />4. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior <br />to the certification of the assessment to the County Auditor, <br />pay the whole of the assessment on such property.
