Member Bergeson introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-168 <br />RESOLUTION PETITIONING THE ANOKA COUNTY HRA FOR AUTHORIZATION TO <br />ESTABLISH A LOCAL HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has established a Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Lino Lakes, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes believes the timing is not <br />appropriate for participation in the Anoka County HRA for the year <br />1996, and <br />WHEREAS, according to State Statutes Section 469.004 Subd. 5, <br />the City housing and redevelopment authority must petition the <br />County for authorization to establish a local housing authority, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the commissioner of trade and economic development <br />has approved the creation of the City of Lino Lakes local housing <br />authority, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council Acting as the <br />Commissioners of the local housing and redevelopment authority that <br />the City of Lino Lakes hereby petitions the Anoka County HRA to <br />authorize the establishment of a local housing authority in and for <br />the City of Lino Lakes. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lin Lakes this llth day <br />of December, 1995. <br />ATTEST <br />Vernon F. Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Council Member Kuether and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof :Bergeson, Elliott, <br />Kuether, Neal, Reinert. <br />and the following voted against same: None. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
