Council Member Bergeson introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-19 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR INSTALLATION OF <br />WATERMAIN ON ASH STREET AND WARE ROAD. <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />the Metrolpolitan Council is planning the construction of a sanitary <br />sewer interceptor pipeline in the City of Lino Lakes, and <br />the City of Lino Lakes has identified areas along the Metropolitan <br />Council interceptor pipeline alignment that will require watermain, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the public and the City of Lino Lakes to <br />construct watermain under the same contract as the Metropolitan <br />Council interceptor project to minimize disruption from construction <br />work to the public <br />— NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The City is authorized to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement for the <br />construction of watermain along Ware Road and Ash Street in conjunction <br />with the Metropolitan Council interceptor project. <br />Adopted by the City Council this 12th day of F bruary, 1996. <br />ohn Landers, Mayor <br />Ckivgeyi <br />Marilyn G.:Anderson <br />Clerk -Treasurer <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member Kuether and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson, Kuether, Lyden, <br />Neal, Landers. <br />The following voted against same: None. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted. <br />
