Councilmember Kuether <br />introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-44 <br />NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF NEED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT <br />(EIS) FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW CENTENNIAL MIDDLE SCHOOL <br />ELM STREET <br />WHEREAS, an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) was <br />prepared for the Centennial Middle School project on Elm Street and <br />sent to the distribution list as required in the EQB Monitor and in <br />the local newspaper, and <br />WHEREAS, the thirty day comment period ended on April 24, <br />1996, and <br />WHEREAS, the EAW and issues raised during the comment period <br />have been reviewed by the City of Lino Lakes, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges the issues raised and <br />has responded to each issue, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has made a decision, based on the <br />EAW and comments received that an EIS is not necessary, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Lino Lakes finds a negative declaration of the need for an <br />Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for construction of the new <br />Centennial Middle School on Elm Street. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes y Council this 29th day of April, <br />1996. <br />14 <br />ATTEST: <br />Marilyn . Landers, Mayor <br />Clerk/Treasurer <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember' Neal and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson, Kuether, <br />Neal, Landers.. • <br />and the following voted against same. None, Council Member Lyden was absent. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
