Council Member Kuether <br />adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 45 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE CENTENNIAL FIRE <br />RELIEF ASSOCIATION <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department began teaching the D.A.R.E. Program <br />in local elementary schools in January, 1995, and <br />WHEREAS, the curriculum, developed by educators, is an elementary school drug <br />prevention curriculum taught by specially selected and trained uniformed <br />police officers; and <br />WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire Relief Association was made aware of the desire of the <br />Lino Lakes Police Department to teach this program in the elementary <br />schools and has donated $2,000.00 to the City to defer the cost of this <br />program, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes hereby accepts <br />the donation of $1,500.00 toward the cost of the D.A.R.E. Program and wishes to express <br />its gratitude to the Centennial Fire Relief Association for its generous donation. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th day of May, 1996. <br />n& tA�t <br />Marilyn C. Landers, a yor <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Lyden and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: Bergeson, Kuether, Neal, Lyden, Landers. <br />The following voted against same: <br />None. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
