Council Member Lyden introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-64 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT - CITY HALL UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the City Hall <br />Underground Storage Tank, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Name Bid Amount Alt. 1 a Alt. lb <br />Minnesota Petroleum Service $40,850.00 $6,375.00 $4,300.00 <br />Griggs Contracting $44,500.00 $5,600.00 $2,400.00 <br />Zahl Equipment Co. $44,690.00 $6,309.00 $3,329.00 <br />..... Westside Equipment $46,298.00 $6,115.00 $5,168.00 <br />J & D Enterprise, Inc. $99,573.00 $10,159.00 $2,957.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Minnesota Petroleum Service, Incorporated, 7650 State <br />Highway 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432, is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Minnesota Petroleum Service, Incorporated, 7650 State Highway 65 NE, Fridley, Minnesota, <br />in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the City Hall Underground <br />Storage Tank according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council, <br />including the base bid and bid alternate 1 a, and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />
