Council Member Kuether introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 96-72 RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISIONS TO LINO LAKES MUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEM. WHEREAS, Department of Transportation State Aid for Local Transportation Division State Aid Operation Rules Chapter 8820 allows cities to designate routes as Municipal State Aid, and WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has certified to the District State Aid Engineer that 2.60 miles are available to be designated as Municipal State Aid streets, and WHEREAS, Elm Street Council previously approved the turnback of Elm Street from Anoka County to City of Lino Lakes with said mileage available to be designated above the 20% cap on Municipal State Aid streets, and WHEREAS, the segments recommended to be added to the Lino Lakes Municipal State Aid System are projected to carry a relatively heavier traffic volume or connects points of major traffic interests within Lino Lakes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. That Lino Lakes revoke the designation of Municipal State Aid from Street 'A' from Cedar Street to Main Street (CSAH 14) with said revocation being 0.75 miles in length. 2. That non -existing Street 'B' from Main Street (CSAH 14) to 80`h Street (County Road 140) be designated as Municipal State Aid. The length of this segment is 2.25 miles. That non -existing West Shadow Lake Drive from Ash Street (CSAH 32) to 62nd Street be designated as Municipal State Aid. The length of this segment is 0.50. 4. That non -existing Elm Street from Elm Street to Lake Drive (TH 49) be designated as Municipal State Aid. The length of this segment is 0.06 miles. 5. That Elm Street from Sunset Road to 0.06 miles west of Lake Drive (TH 49) be designated as Municipal State Aid. The length of this segment is 1.15 miles.
