Council Member Kuether introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 96-154 RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISIONS TO LINO LAKES MUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEM. WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation has notified the City of Lino Lakes of the turnback of portion of Trunk Highway 49 described below; and WHEREAS, state statute allows for trunk highway turnbacks to be added to the Municipal State Aid System; and WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that the trunk highway hereinafter described should be designated Municipal State Aid under the provisions of Minnesota Law: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA, that the road described as follows; to wit: Beginning at the Lilac Street - Fourth Avenue North intersection thence southerly along centerline of Old Trunk Highway 49 for approximately 0.28 miles to its intersection with the main entrance of the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility and there terminating said segment. be, and hereby is established, located, and designated a Municipal State Aid Street of the City of Lino Lakes, subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the Commissioner of Transportation for his consideration and that, upon his approval of the designation of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed, improved and maintained as a Municipal State Aid Street of the City of Lino Lakes, to be known as Fourth Avenue North.
