Council Member Kuether introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-154 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISIONS TO LINO LAKES <br />MUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEM. <br />WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation has notified the City of Lino Lakes of <br />the turnback of portion of Trunk Highway 49 described below; and <br />WHEREAS, state statute allows for trunk highway turnbacks to be added to the <br />Municipal State Aid System; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that the trunk <br />highway hereinafter described should be designated Municipal State Aid <br />under the provisions of Minnesota Law: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA, that the road described as follows; to wit: <br />Beginning at the Lilac Street - Fourth Avenue North intersection thence southerly <br />along centerline of Old Trunk Highway 49 for approximately 0.28 miles to its <br />intersection with the main entrance of the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility and <br />there terminating said segment. <br />be, and hereby is established, located, and designated a Municipal State Aid Street of <br />the City of Lino Lakes, subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation of <br />the State of Minnesota. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the <br />Commissioner of Transportation for his consideration and that, upon his approval of the <br />designation of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed, improved and <br />maintained as a Municipal State Aid Street of the City of Lino Lakes, to be known as <br />Fourth Avenue North. <br />Adopted by the City Council this 9th day of pecember, 1996. <br />John L.
