Council Member Bergeson <br />its adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and moved <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-18 <br />RESOLUTION RATIFYING WELLHEAD PROTECTION PLAN JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes City Council entered into a Wellhead Protection Plan Joint <br />Powers Agreement that included representatives of each community of <br />said Agreement comprising the Wellhead Protection Planning group, and <br />WHEREAS, Phase 1 of the Agreement consisted of selecting a consulting engineer to <br />prepare wellhead delineation zones, and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has ruled that the Minnesota Department of Health <br />is responsible for wellhead protection zone delineation, and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Health has submitted a proposal to <br />complete wellhead delineation zones at no cost to the cities, and <br />WHEREAS, the Wellhead Protection Planning Group passed a motion on January 23, <br />1997, to discontinue Phase 1 work of the Agreement and to accept the <br />Minnesota Department of Health proposal, parts 1, 2, and 3. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />The council hereby ratifies the Wellhead Protection Joint Powers Agreement by <br />discontinuing Phase 1 work, consulting engineer selection, and to authorize <br />commencement of the Phase 2 work described in parts 1, 2, and 3 of the Minnesota <br />Department of Health proposal. <br />Adopted by the City Council this 10th day of ebruary, 1997. <br />Marilyn G.
