Council Member Kuether <br />resolution and moved its adoption. <br />introduced the following <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />Resolution No. 97-23 <br />TRAIL RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS The City of Lino Lakes contains 2600 acres of regional <br />park that contributes immensely to the efforts of recreation <br />opportunities for Lino Lakes Residents; and <br />WHEREAS The establishment of trails within this regional park <br />would provide access for Lino Lakes residents to a multitude of <br />these recreational opportunities; and <br />WHEREAS Anoka County Parks and Recreation wishes to establish a <br />multi -use trail from Aqua Lane to the Wargo Nature Center, along <br />the west side of George Watch Lake; and <br />WHEREAS Anoka County Parks and Recreation is seeking funding from <br />the Department of Natural Resources for a National Trail Grant. <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED That the City of Lino Lakes supports the <br />county's effort in establishing a trail and supports the efforts <br />in seeking funding through the National Trail Grant Program. <br />I CERTIFY THAT the above resolution was adopted by the CITY <br />COUNCIL of LINO LAKES on February 24, 1997. <br />SIGNED: WIT ESSED: <br />Clerk -Treasurer <br />(Title) <br />2/24/97 <br />(Date) <br />Mayor <br />(Signature) <br />2/24/97 <br />(Title) <br />(Date) <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Council Member Neal and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof. Bergeson, Kuether, <br />Lyden, Neal, Landers. <br />The following voted against same: None <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
