Council Member Lyden introduced the following <br />resolution and moved its adoption. <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />Resolution No. 97 - 30 <br />PARK AND RECREATION BOARD GOALS/REFERENDUM <br />WHEREAS the City of Lino Lakes Park and Recreation Board each <br />year has reviewed the status of Parks and Recreation through work <br />sessions called goal -setting meetings <br />WHEREAS each year the Park and Recreation Board has reviewed the <br />needs of leisure services at these meetings and placed priorities <br />for projects based on the Parks and Recreation Comprehensive <br />Plan, changing demographics, and funding mechanisms available <br />WHEREAS the Goals for 1997 are completed and before the City <br />Council for consideration <br />WHEREAS one of these goals is consideration in concept to pursue <br />a Park and Recreation Bond Referendum for the residents of Lino <br />Lakes to consider <br />WHEREAS the funds from this referendum could be used to build and <br />enhance the City of Lino Lakes leisure opportunity for residents <br />such as trails, neighborhood parks, and athletic complex. <br />WHEREAS the citizens have recognized this need in the 20/20 <br />vision exercise and through our most recent resident quality of <br />life survey <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lino Lakes supports the Park <br />Boards wish to pursue a Referendum for financing Parks and <br />Recreation. <br />I CERTIFY THAT the above resolution was adopted by the City <br />Council of Lino Lakes on March 10, 1997. <br />Mayor <br />WITNESSED: <br />A <br />(Signature) ` (Signature) <br />3/10/97 <br />(Title) <br />Clerk -Treasurer <br />(Date) (Title) <br />3/10/97 <br />(Date) <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Council Member Neal and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson, <br />Kuether, Lyden, Neal, Landers. <br />The following voted against the same: None. <br />
