Council Member Bergeson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br /> adoption: <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 97-68 <br /> RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF THE THOMAS STREET <br /> RIGHT-OF-WAY <br /> WHEREAS, a development plan for the area surrounding Thomas Street east of the <br /> unconstructed Laurie Avenue north of Lilac Street has been developed, and <br /> WHEREAS, the development plan indicates that Thomas Street in this location will <br /> not be needed, and <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 27, 1997 before the City Council in <br /> the City Hall after due published and posted notice had been given in the May 6th <br /> and 13th edition of the Quad Press and all persons interested were given an <br /> opportunity to be heard; and <br /> WHEREAS, it appears that it will be in the best interest of the City to vacate such portion <br /> of Thomas Street, and <br /> S1-1 WHEREAS, four-fifths of all the members of the City Council concur in this resolution. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the portion of Thomas Street east of the <br /> unconstructed Laurie Avenue and north of Lilac Street as shown on the attached map is <br /> hereby vacated. <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino es this 27th day ofd1997. <br /> Jo L.
