Council Member <br />adoption: <br />Bergeson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-132 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT - PUBLIC WORKS STORAGE BUILDING. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Public Storage <br />Building Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following <br />bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Company Base Bid Sewer Bid Total Bid <br />Riverside Construction $166,800.00 $1,400 $168,200.00 <br />Hollister Construction $163,715.00 $5,150 $168,865.00 <br />Braden Comm., Inc. $176,900.00 $4,200 $181,100.00 <br />American Liberty Const., Inc. $179,186.00 $4,000 183,186.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Riverside Construction of Elk River, 19230 Evans Street, Elk <br />River, MN 55330, is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />`-- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Riverside Construction of Elk River, 19230 Evans Street, Elk River, MN 55330, that in the <br />name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of Public Works Storage Building <br />Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in <br />the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th d., of October, 1997. <br />Marilyn G.
