Council Member Kuether_ introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-157 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING LIVABLE COMMUNITY GOALS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has elected to participate in the Local Housing <br />Incentives Account Program under the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act, and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act requires the Metropolitan <br />Council to negotiate with each municipality to establish affordable and life -cycle housing <br />goals for that municipality that are consistent with and promote the policies of the <br />Metropolitan Council as provided in the adopted Metropolitan Development Guide; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes has accepted the following Goals <br />for this community with the condition that these goals may be adjusted upon completion <br />of the City's Comprehensive Plan: <br />Affordability GOAL <br />Ownership 68% <br />Rental 15% <br />Life -Cycle <br />Type (non single <br />family detached) 35% <br />Owner/Renter Mix 75/25% <br />Density <br />Single Family 2.3 units/acre <br />Multifamily 10 units/acre <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes hereby adopts the <br />above outlined Livable Community Goals for the City of Lino Lakes with the condition <br />that said Goals may be renegotiated upon completion of the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th 4 ay of November, 1997. <br />o n L.
